MCO 3.1 - South Klang Police sets up road blocks at three main Klang bridges

In conjunction with the total lockdown imposed by the Malaysian government, South Klang Police issued a statement regarding key road blocks that will be set up from 1 - 14 June. These road blocks are mainly placed at the three main bridges in Klang and another two main locations. The purpose of the road blocks are to check oncoming traffic and cars.

It's finally Klang's turn for free COVID-19 testing, check here!

Mass screenings for COVID-19 have been held for the past month, an initiative taken by the Selangor state government to detect hidden community cases and silent carriers.  The free COVID-19 screening had previously observed thousands of attendees in other areas of Selangor. DUN Subang Jaya's free mass screening had 5,096 participants, with 130 of them testing postive (2.55%), while DUN Seri Setia saw 2,445 attendees, with 171 testing positive (6.99%).

COVID-19: 76 clusters recorded in Klang since the pandemic started

It has been more than a year since the COVID-19 pandemic has started, and Klang district alone has recorded a total of 76 clusters to date.  Earlier clusters were mainly industrial clusters, but Klang is now facing community, religious and educational clusters all at once, causing the numbers to rise dramatically. As of the clusters recorded, 20 of these clusters are still 'active' clusters.

Health Ministry considers full-scale MCO for Selangor

The Health Ministry (MoH) is considering imposing a full-scale Movement Control Order (MCO) in Selangor if COVID-19 cases in the state continue to rise, said its minister, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba. “I agree that we need to suggest to the government that a stricter SOP and MCO should be enforced if we can’t contain the situation, so the suggestion to introduce a full MCO can be considered,” he said.
