Morning fright: Corpse of man found stuck in drain at Jalan Papan, Pandamaran

A male corpse was found 'stuck' in a drain beside Jalan Papan, Pandamaran's morning market, causing panic and fright amongst the vendors. 

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations director Hafisham Mohd Noor said in a statement that the fire and rescue center received a report from the public at 8:16am this morning (9 June 2022), and the Port Klang Fire and Rescue Department set out to investigate the scene.

He revealed that firefighters arrived at the scene and confirmed that there was a male body in the ditch. The deceased was half naked and only wearing long pants.

"A total of six firefighters were called to use stretchers and ladders to bring the body ashore."

He said that based on preliminary investigations, the deceased was about 44 years old and the body had been handed over to the police for further action.
