If you've been hearing planes soaring over your housing area, the Royal Malaysian Air Force had reassured the situation and stated that they are currently conducting their air operation exercise that will end next Monday (7 March).
In a statement issued earlier today, the RMAF said that the exercise was to assess its assets’ readiness for air operation in protecting the country’s sovereignty and airspace.
The training involving the RMAF Special Forces (PASKAU), pilots and crew members are conducted at several bases including in Selangor, the Gong Kedak, Terengganu, the Butterworth, Penang and the Kuantan airbase.
“During the exercise, RMAF aircraft will perform low-flying tactical flights at certain locations,” the statement reads.
RMAF also advised the public not to be anxious if they see planes flying low during the exercise period.
