A man was reported missing after diving into the Klang River at the Diauddin Bridge, Jalan Tengku Kelana, 12 February 2022.
This is the second incident that happened this week with the previous one at Raja Muda Bridge, last Tuesday.
Selangor Assistant Director of Fire and Rescue Operations, Hafisham Mohd. Noor said 16 members including officers from three stations were rushed into search and rescue operations after receiving an emergency call at 10:15am.
He said this involved the Kota Raja Fire and Rescue Station, Shah Alam and Port Klang as well as the Water Rescue Team (PPDA) and assisted by the Malaysian Defense Force.
"Based on the information, the man had jumped into the Klang River from the Diauddin bridge.
The man who was reported missing was found drowned the next afternoon on 13 February.
The body of M. Navalan, 21, was found fully dressed at about 5.35pm after 31 hours of disappearance.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Director, Norazam Khamis said the body was found about 200 meters from the location where he jumped yesterday.
"The disappearance of the victim was previously reported by a witness who was a homeless woman that saw him dive into the river.
"The victim's body came from Kampung Perepat, Kapar, then 200 meters from the location of the initial incident," he said in a statement today.
