Selangor police have arrested 16 people involved in the murder of a moneylender in Klang on 6 November 2021. They were all nabbed in three raids.
Selangor police chief Arjunaidi Mohammed said the first raid was conducted on 6 November and led to the arrest of six men from the Chinese Gang 24.
They were remanded for seven days before being released on 13 November on police bail.
Based on the information gathered from these arrests, police nabbed three more men and three women at a restaurant and a house in Seri Petaling on 10 November.
They also seized two cars and RM19,198 in cash.
On 11 November, four more men were arrested in Muar and Segamat, Johor. They will be detained until 23 November.

Arjunaidi said police had also recovered several weapons from Sungai Klang which were believed to have been dumped there after being used in the murder.
Police also believe the gang had sought refuge at a homestay in Bandar Botanik Klang before and after the incident.
According to the police, an old grudge between two gangs is believed to have led to the attack on the moneylender.
Arjunaidi said police were waiting for further orders from the deputy public prosecutor to charge the suspects.
The 47-year-old moneylender was hacked to death in a fight between him and another three men in front of a coffee shop in Bandar Baru Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
The deceased was set upon by three machete-wielding men when he was walking to his MPV after having had lunch with his sons aged 18 and 10.
The man's chidren were unharmed in the incident. The moneylender had tried to escape but collapsed and died in front of a neighbouring restaurant.
Police had also revealed that the deceased had a record of seven crimes.
