A total of 33 night markets within the Klang area will resume operations in stages starting next Monday (20 September 2021).
The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) through a statement informed that all the markets are allowed to operate during the National Rehabilitation Program (PPN) Phase Two.
“Vendors and customers who are intending to join in the reopening of night markets must be fully vaccinated - which is two weeks after receiving the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine (Sinovac, Pfizer, AstraZeneca).
"The operating hours for all the night markets are between 5pm and 10pm," he said in the statement today.
In this regard, MPK asks all traders and visitors to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government. Such compliance is necessary to control and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in such public places.
The night market that will open next Monday involves night markets located at Bandar Sultan Suleiman and Taman Kandis Permai.
It will be followed by the opening of 22 night markets on Tuesday to next Friday, among others around Kapar and Meru.
Meanwhile, nine more night markets, including in the Pulau Indah area, will be opened on September 25 and 26. -Utusan
