Local residents had recently voiced their worries regarding one of Klang's COVID-19 assessment centre (CAC) located at Taman Sri Andalas.
Good news is that the said CAC may be moved to a new area in Port Klang, and local residents may now rest assured.
Y.B. Tuan Mohd Zawawi bin Ahmad Mughni - member of Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Sungai Kandis and Selangor State Executive Councillor had stated that the Klang District Health Office had informed him that several locations have been proposed for the CAC, and they are currently at the last stage of evaluating the new location.
He said that the Klang District Health Office had requested for another week of time for the management to make preparations for the move.
He revealed that one of the locations in mind is at Port Klang, and the management will make a final decision in a few days time.
The increase in daily COVID-19 cases in Selangor has caused droves of patients to flood the CAC in Taman Sri Andalas. While the CACs serve to help assess those infected on quarantine procedures and treatments, a few centres set up in residential areas have invoked fear among those living there. The local residents had requested for the CAC to be moved away from their community.
