Teenage 'mat rempits' holds race amidst EMCO - 31 people detained

As the majority of Selangor goes into enhanced movement control order (EMCO), 31 teenagers gathered recklessly for a motorcycle race. 
The gathering happened on the 3rd of July at Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Bandar Sultan Suleiman Port Klang. The entire group was detained by the North Klang Police, 26 motorcycles were also confiscated. 

North Klang Police Chief Nurulhuda binti Mohd Salleh stated in a release that the gathering started at 5:30pm in the afternoon until 10:30pm at night. 
The 31 people involved are aged 13-23 - the youngest being a 13-year old boy, and the only female being a 16-year old. 7 of the detained are underaged. 

She also stated that the riders tried to escape, but the police had already surrounded the racing area. 

"As much as 76 summons were issued for multiple road offenses according to Section 64, Road Transport Act 1987. Another 22 summons were issued according to Rule 17(1) Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 for gathering in public spaces without purpose."
