Two Form-3 girls were among eight people arrested at a drug-fuelled private party in Shah Alam.

The group had allegedly rented an i-Soho unit for RM130 in i-City for the gathering. The party started at 6:30pm in the evening and was scheduled to end at around 2am in the morning. The raid reportedly took place at 1am, following complaints from the public that a rented unit was having group activities.

All of them, aged 15 to 23, were each fined RM4,000 for violating Movement Control Order (MCO) lockdown restrictions, which prohibits gatherings. Seven of them also tested positive for drugs including speed, meth, and benzos.

“The group comprised of five men and three women aged between 15 and 23 with the two teenage girls studying in a secondary school in Klang,” Shah Alam district police chief Baharudin Mat Taib told reporters today.

“The Shah Alam Magistrate’s Court today allowed the seven individuals to be remanded under Section 117 of the Criminal Code Procedure for three days and the case was being investigated under Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act,” he said.

All of the suspects had no prior criminal record. The group is being investigated for drug offenses and face fines of up to RM5,000 each and two years’ jail.
