In conjunction with the total lockdown imposed by the Malaysian government, South Klang Police issued a statement regarding key road blocks that will be set up from 1 - 14 June. These road blocks are mainly placed at the three main bridges in Klang and another two main locations. The purpose of the road blocks are to check oncoming traffic and cars.
South Klang District Police Chief - ACP Shamsul Amar bin Ramli had stated that the three main bridges that will be cordoned off are -
- Jambatan Musaeddin, Jalan Tengku Kelana, Klang (Bridge at Little India)
- Jambatan Raja Muda Nala, Klang
- Jambatan Besi (Pengkalan Batu)
Other road blocks are set at -
- Persiaran Kota, Klang (Outside MPK building)
- Batu 2, Jalan Langat, Klang (In front of Indah Water Consortium)
Apart from that, the police force will also dispatch 14 teams at 24 areas to set up smaller road blocks for security checks. This is to enforce the implementation of the lockdown and to make sure our residents follow the SOPs set.
