Four men have been arrested following a road rage incident in Klang in which a driver was beaten up and the windscreen and windows of his car smashed.
The incident occurred at Taman Sentosa in south Klang at about 4.30pm yesterday, police said in a statement.
Two short videos of the incident were captured by the victim, which showed a group of men smashing the windscreen and windows of his car by the side of the road. The victim, an 25-year-old employment agency employee, was travelling from Taman Sentosa to Port Klang to drop off his cousin, who was with him in the car at the time of the incident.
Police said the car, with the driver and his cousin in it, was involved in an accident with the suspects’ car. The suspects came out of their car and pulled the driver out and proceeded to beat him with a stick, vandalise his car and grab a mobile phone belonging to his cousin.
Preliminary urine tests showed that all the suspects were under the influence of methamphetamine-like drugs.
All four suspects are aged from 23 to 35, are jobless and are drug addicts and said that the matter is being investigated under Section 394/427 of the Penal Code.
