The number of Covid-19 positive staff and patients at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang is now 143.

Selangor Health director Datuk Dr Sha'ari Ngadiman said in a message Sunday (Dec 10) that two more hospital staff and two more patients had tested positive.

This brings the number of hospital personnel who are positive to 62 and patients to 81.

“There are also staff members who have completed the home surveillance order who tested negative and are back on duty.

“Overall, everything is under control," Dr Sha’ari added.

As for cases coming for treatment at HTAR, Dr Dr Sha’ari said the hospital was still managing cases with its existing staff who are not close contacts with the infected personnel.

Dr Sha’ari said the source of the infection was still being investigated.

Last Friday, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 72 HTAR staff undergoing Covid-19 observation and surveillance orders while at Serdang Hospital the infection involved 29 medical personnel and 28 patients.
