Previously, Top Glove and Hartalega had reported COVID-19 cases among it's workers, and the latest addition to the glove manufacturer lineup who has been struck by the pandemic is Kossan Rubber Industries.
The company has reported 427 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far, located in it's Meru, Klang facility.
According to the Management, the cluster was detected when screening through six facilities, and the confirmed case was detected in one of the said facilities. As of now, the company has tested over 7,000 workers for the virus. Of the 427 confirmed cases, 419 of them are non-Malaysians while 8 of them are local Malaysians.
The affected factory has been closed since the 4th of December for two weeks for sanitization and disinfection. The factories are to resume operations on the 20th of December.
