The government just announced that Kuala Lumpur, Selangor amd Putrajaya will be placed under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) effective midnight Oct 14.

This was decided upon following advice from the Health Ministry after Covid-19 cases continue to increase in several districts within the Klang Valley namely Klang, Petaling amd Hulu Langat, said Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a live broadcast today.

The CMCO will come into effect at 12.01am Oct 14 until Oct 27.

"To stop the chain of infection, the National Security Council (NSC) meeting today agreed to place Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya under CMCO starting at 12.01am on Oct 14 (Wednesday) until Oct 27," he said in a live telecast today.

Nevertheless, Ismail said all economic activities at the four places are allowed to operate as usual but with certain strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) which will be announced by the NSC soon.
