Malaysia has reported 260 new cases of Covid-19 today on 1st of October, including a new cluster in Klang, Selangor - located at Jalan Meru, named the Jalan Meru Cluster.
Of the 13 cases reported in Selangor, 4 are from the said cluster.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said a new cluster was found in Klang, Selangor, involving a Malaysian aged 30 years old.
"The symptomatic case started on Sept 24. The Covid-19 test came out positive on Sept 29 and the patient was admitted to the Sungai Buloh Hospital," he said at the Ministry's press conference on Thursday (Oct 1).
Following the case, a close contact test has been conducted and three more individuals have tested positive for the identified Jalan Meru cluster.
"All positive cases involved Malaysians and have been warded at the Sungai Buloh Hospital for further treatment," he said.
