Regent Bakery was founded in January 1977 by Uncle Cheng Yew Hoe. Located in Klang Town right beside the train station, it’s signature pandan-layered cake holds a special place in the hearts of the Klang people.

Have you ever wondered how it all started? As more cake houses started popping up in the 1980’s, Uncle Cheng knew he had to do something to stand out from the crowd. As the passionate baker experimented around for a distinct taste that would leave a lasting impression on his customers, he came out with his one-of-a-kind creation – the infamous Regent pandan-layered cake. 

The Regent Bakery has been around for more than 40 years, the cake shop features other cakes and pastries as well, including the Philippines chocolate cake, chiffon cakes, swiss rolls and many more. 

With five layers of cake, laced with jelly-like filling, Uncle Cheng’s signature layered cakes are also available in other flavours, such as yam, durian and corn. With a sweetness that is just nice, along with the soft touch of pandan flavour at the tip of your tongue, the pandan-layered cake quickly became the favourite of many customers. 

Whether as a birthday gift, or as an occasional snack, the pandan-layered cake is always a welcomed treat.
